Cracks

Cracks

A Poem by Kelly A.

A person is like a delicate vase

You can drop it so many times

And although it can be put back together

It will still have cracks

You can’t just simply treat it as if it was the same brand new vase

You have to understand

It’s fragile

It take the right person to treat it with care

Someone who notices the cracks and nourishes the vase

A person is like a rose

Pieces of them die

And if taken care of

It will completely become withered and lifeless

But, if the rose is treated with care

No matter how bad it has become,

They can make a rose bud appear

Some people are incapable of understanding this

So not considering what the vase has been through,

They are indifferent

And while the vase falls

 Like a flash for observers

It’s a lifetime for the vase

And eventually the vase breaks to the point where it can no longer be put together

Same as a rose

Once taken care of it needs to be consistent

But, you forget and feel it can go on by itself after a while

And even though it’s obvious

It “sneakingly” dies

And by the time you realize it, it’s already gone

If only you cared like you promised you did

But, actions speak louder than words
