Jail SentenceA Poem by Kelly A.Was written about my ex
Trapped and forced to open up With no where to go except into my prison You say you want to be my parole Yet when I go on trial and try to testify You end up becoming the persecutor
Shutting me up whenever I speak, Oblivious that I’m up there for you As you question the words I start to wonder and become nervous under your crushing pressure I’m lost in my mind wondering Why change your mind when I did this for you
As the judge grows weary And the bantering goes back and forth I let you win I surrender yet confusingly you suddenly become the defense © 2013 Kelly A.Author's Note
