Lost Love

Lost Love

A Poem by Kelsey

Keep me waiting, alone in the dark.
You never cared, I knew it from the start.
You tell me I am your everything, and maybe it was once true.
But how can I regain that special feeling we once knew.
I suppose tonight, all you feel is regret.
How much you truly hurt me, you'll never fully get.
You hold me, hoping to gain me back.
But all reality gives you is a rough, hard slap.
You kiss my lips, hoping to feel the warmth.
But satisfaction? You get none of the sort.
The floor stained, my gaze grown cold.
Never having the chance to grow old.
The hard hits and kicks; Is that love's fee?
For tonight, the one I loved, murdered me.

I like the hidden meaning. Murdered you? like you feel dead. I love it. Love tend to do that when we lose the one we love. Just have to find what makes you feel alive in life and run with it

Wow, this seemed a bit dark when I started reading, but that ending... wow, very well done indeed. Keep up the good work.
