Crescendo

Crescendo

A Poem by Kelsea
"

Oh, I'm perfectly aware that this sucks. It feels like a broken memory to me, more than anything. I was playing off an idea, as per usual.

"

crescendo

hallways, masses of people, and faces, blurred
distances.
doors close, doors open, talking.
words.

this idea, this concept, i will
find someway to defy it all
and find a meaning

crescendo

I didn't, I wasn't crying, no, I said it very gently,
I said, "I feel tired. tired, and scared." and she said, "why?
you shouldn't feel tired."
I said, "it's been a nightmare...."
And she just smiled and said, "I can imagine..."
I wonder... could she really...see that?
Did she really know?

crescendo

when the path laid before us
isn't...
even in sight.
some of us have to carve out
our own personal road
and success isn't something that's promised by birth

crescendo

even if the days are numbered
down to the very hour and minute and second
what real concept of time do we have as humans?
I feel the tendency
to forget about time,
and then suddenly it's back

someday we'll have to say goodbye.
'cause saying 'goodbye' is better than
saying nothing at all...

CRESCENDO!
