Forgotten CinderellaA Poem by Keli ReneeShe sits alone inside her chamber,
Picks and nibbles at toast of rye.
The beggar life not once became her,
Yet here she sits, in air too dry.
Her dreams are filled with hope and laughter,
Awakes to find that nothing's true.
She looks for sun long saught after,
Only finds deep empty blue.
But late one night upon a star,
Appears a fairy wand and all.
She says "Oh child, who you are...
Should be dancing the Midnight Ball."
