SummerA Poem by Kelly Danielle HallA short poem about how love can change with the seasons.I remember last summer, we were diving off bridges late at night, you would kiss me in the water under the moon. We used to sing our song over and over, we made each other laugh until it was hard to breathe. I remember last fall, we would sit outside for hours, just because I loved to watch the colors as they changed. You sat with me every minute, eating vending machine snacks from the school cafeteria, just because it was my favorite season and you craved to hear my voice. Now it is winter, and no matter what I do, I feel as though your soul has become just as cold as the freezing air. I keep wishing I could just freeze time and go back to how we were, to how we used to be, back when it was summer.
