In Spare TimeA Poem by Kelly Danielle Hall
You left me here to wander,
Dreaming of you, Wishing you were here again. I never got to know you, Hell I barely remember your face, But I still dream of you. Sometimes I hear your whispers, Although I truly don't believe, But something of you remains, Like you are watching over me. Each time you've seen my heart break, Each time I shed a tear, Something happened, something strange, Something like you lingered here. I felt your force around me, And maybe I spoke throughout your words, But I wish I could remember, But I was too young and you too sick. I pass by your home, But refuse to step outside, I just drive past that long yard, With its blemishes of stones. Though you are the one to leave here, I feel like I've missed out, For I never got to love you, Like I know we would in my heart. So now while your spirit lingers, Send a thought throughout my mind, Give me a familiar passion, Send a dream in your spare time. © 2014 Kelly Danielle HallFeatured Review
