Your poem is the antidote for the "poor-me" syndrome. As an old person, many people my age bemoan how we can often be forgotten or left out of lot of stuff, blah-blah-blah . . . or how often old people have a dozen ailments & two dozen prescriptions which must all be itemized in every conversation. When I feel myself starting to act like this, I find someone to reach out to, someone worse off than me, someone that other people rarely acknowledge. It's amazing how taking that first step just shuts down the "poor-me" tape that can be incessant. Your poem gives us a shove to get busy living instead of being obsessed with dying (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
Dear Kelly. Few people, we allow in truly. Sometime the ugly hidden is necessary. It is wonderful when we can allow someone in and we trust them with our real face. Thank you for sharing the amazing and hopeful poetry.

what a beautiful dream of words, knowing the wonder of loving the soul, of touching the deeper life of those around us. Your words are both an encouragement and a challenge to be more in this world.
and the separation of Soul....we can connect or not...but I also read this as connecting to someone's "lonely"---which is a really cool thought...
Lonely meets lonely, understands and connects.
