It’s better
For loving
And caring
For sharing

But

Greed is of
No need
So
Where has
It come-

First

Or

Last

Is it needed
To gasp

To think
Or to drink

Into self pity
To sink-

Well
You’ll know
In your heart
Where you
Did take part

Let the New Year
A better
Mark in your heart
Set you apart-

It’s not for the gold
Or the bragging
Stories
To be told-
Making the heart
Grow cold

It’s the love
Warmth and joy
It’s no toy

But by the way

Others
