When I look around
And I see what
I see

It’s as if this life
Is not meant
For me -

In the flesh
It’s a test

I know I’ve tried
My best
But what about
The rest -

When I look
Around
Is it happiness
They’ve found

Without a word or
A sound
Heartache
Looms all
Around-

Is it common
Ground that
We’ve found

I wonder about
The joy

A bouy
Set out
On the tide
In amongst
Hidden feelings
And emotions
It does hide-

Every wave
Needed to
Ride-

To have peace
At your side

In amongst
Pain and fear
Does love hide

Where do you
Search
Feeling left out
On lurch
All of the
Hurt

Making you
Feel no worth

Deep down
Feeling like you
Want to drown

Having lost your
Crown
Feeling like a
Show clown-

Feelings
And emotions
Tumbling down

Hitting rock bottom
Upon the ground
What is that
Sound

I cannot hear
Not a word
Nowhere around

Silence it slices
Left to your own
Devices

To try to find
The distant
Corners of
Your mind-

Rewind-

Look inside
See the kind
Heart
That sets you
Apart

From this heartbreak

It’s no mistake
It’s not fake

It’s taken time
To find
Don’t regret
Or rewind

You’re in the
Correct
Place
In time.

Life is like a rollercoaster with its ups and downs. And good times with the bad times. I liked the message help with this neat rhymical poem. That the heart and spirit can overcome with determination and love.

This is some of the best rhyming riffing I've read here at the cafe! I love the way your overall message flow has strong connective tissue, not disconnected random ideas like many of these can be. I love the way the direction of your rhyme flow changes directions, but still connected, like links in a chain. Especially the first half, I got the sensation of a cork bobbing on the waves of the sea, up & down, thru the turbulence of life -- great extended analogy (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
