Deep beneath the icy cold is many a moving story to be told🌹

‘Frosted Soul’

The frost it lies
Like a blanket
Upon the soul

Frosted
Freezing
Icy cold-

What are the stories
Beneath
Needing to be told

Only an icy layer
So
White and deep
Oh so cold
Uttering hunger
With nothing
To eat-

The surface glistens
For those who listen
Searching for an ear
So near
But sadly
It’s too cold-

The heart
Rebounds
And hears
No sound

Oh the frosted
Icy soul

The depths to which
You do not know-

Afraid to venture
Stories left untold

The sunshine streams
Upon your dreams
The wind is still
With frosted chill-

What will it take
Oh frosted soul
To make you
Lose control
And dig beneath
The icy layer so white
To finally find
The hearts delight-

The birds take flight
Upon the tree
It sits
And sings

Welcomes all
Life’s
Joys and fears
Accepting all-

Oh hear their call

Dear frosted heart
Take back your part
The frost
Is melting
Warming

Find your way

Tomorrow
It brings
A brand new
Day .

Can imagine your words wrapped in music - perhaps a flute or harp. Needs be melodic but just a calm hint or shadow to accompany the voice. You use short sweet gasps of words, chill to warmth, gradually gradually melting controlled but intense emotions. The language fuses too, rhyming words gently included but oh so subtly. Your style is elegant but still immensely moving.. don't know how to actually describe my reaction to be honest.. Bravo, Kelly.
