Sadness of love not shown- lost and lonesome it’s grown🌹

Oh

How many tears
Have I cried
Over all the
Love
The world’s
Denied-

So sad
So tired

So
Many tears
Been cried

Lies been lied
Emotions
Been tried

Lost and alone
Abandoned
They’ve grown

Because of lack
Of love
They’ve been
Shown

Withdrawn
Separate
From society
Searching for
The longing
To belong
To be understood
Part of ‘The Hood’

If only those
That should
Only they could
Just open their
Hearts -
Allowing every part
Of the truth there
Within
To beat and feel
Preventing others
Joy they do steal
To be felt
To be real

They themselves
Do steal the love
Of their own
Hearts

Setting themselves
Far apart
From the love
That they know
But unable to show
For what reason
Only they can know
Why
They emotions
Can’t show

Where does all the heartache
Go-

Into drugs
And drink
So they don’t
Have to think-

Into darkness
They sink

The sorrow they
Drown
Losing their
Crown
Hit rock bottom
No further
Than down

Down

To the ground

Left forlorn
Tumbling down
With no sound
Emptiness
All around

When we fight
To gain sight
We lose power
Under showers
Of lost thoughts
Not being taught
Just being bought

By the lies
Of passerby’s

When we stop
Take a look
From the top
We can see
That it’s free
To have peace
Of mind

Sharing

The common
Denominator
Of mankind

It’s the
Love
That’s
For free

It’s all there
For you
And me

Don’t listen to
The lies
Breaking-

Forming
Ties

Search deep
Inside

Unlock the
Hurt and the
Pride

Let your love
Set you free
Open your heart
Become a part
Of the love
That you know
But unable to
Show

Let it go
Let it grow

Only then
Will you know

Flowing down the river of your wondrous dark words, the suffering and sorrow of love denied. There is nothing more tragic, more sorrowful that an empty heart in longing. It immediately made me think of Neruda... "Tonight I can write the saddest lines. Write, for example,'The night is shattered and the blue stars shiver in the distance.'"

Perhaps people - some certainly, take love forgranted; assume it's a right that waits for everyone. But as you suggest in so many ways, it takes a myriad of forms - it's denied in and by some of them, it takes but neither appreciates nor reciprocates. Seems that we live day to day in our own little worlds, use this wonderfully wretched technology and forget how to exchange verbally, how to pen thank yous, how to play a game with another person and have him/her understand the rules. How to feel, how to express feeling and convert it into Love..

You've nudged at 'what not' and 'what is' in this glorious flow of thought, examining, explaining, questioning... so much to take from it, so much to remember. I - for one, must try harder. Thank you.

Beautifully poetic lines. A lovely poem to read and yes, I also ask where has all the love gone. There is so much hostility around and yet love is everything. Without love what is the point? Maybe too many people are afraid to reach out with open arms.
