‘Fork In The Road’

When the road
It slows
And the inner voice
Knows
The path
That’s been
Chose

It forks up
Ahead
It’s been written
It’s been said

The time
Is now met-

The fork that it makes
Is far from a mistake
Your emotions you cannot
Fake
It’s the choices
Been made

The left or the right

It’s an emotional sight

But the choice is not yours
It’s all in accord
With the way of your heart
It’s that way since the start

Choosing
What you allowed
To become a part
That’s what’s
Tearing you apart

So don’t cringe at the thought
The fork
It has come to allow
You to run with the thoughts
In your heart
That are far from your
Heart
They weren’t there
From the start

The fork it will show
The emotions
To grow
To let yourself know
There’s a path for each
In order to grow

Separation in time
Forming the picture
Complete
Encouraging the hearts
Beat to seek
What it so
Wants to reap

So

In case you don’t know
Encourage your heart
And soul to grow
In direction of
Knowledge and wisdom
You seek
Forget the things the
World seeks

For it’s just a matter of time
When the fork in the road
That you’ll find
It’s not always that kind
It can jumble your mind
Tear two hearts apart
That weren’t joined from
The start

False words
You did speak
Encouraging your feet
To take path to a place
Where you yourself did
Place

In confusion
Illusion
Disillusion

A mistake having
Taken place
For prides ego
At stake

Take you back to the
Fork
That you never would have
Thought
Having taught you to search
Inside and without
It’s here
Without doubt
That life path
That’s set out
Plays a part in the
Change
Where you’ll never
Be the same

Me
To the left
You
To the right
Oh what a sight
Spirit takes flight

Do what’s right...

Life is full of choices, life is full of risks.. the road ahead has a fork in it. plus a spade and a shovel a pick and some trouble... but decisions they just have to be made.. forget the pick and the shovel.. chose the fork and the spade... then just go for it...

Lol- now why would anyone just go for the road if they know theres trouble- id aboud it that is plain stupidity- i agree that there us mych unknown we need to take chances and as they cime use the spade etc to remove bockades but to go knowingly or wide eyed where we see the trouble- wiser we all need to be - once u learn from mistakes to return to make more of same leaves you a fool...but yes chances must be taken...🌹

Life is about choice which way to turn
Sometimes you are forced to take a certain path
not your choice make of it what you can
You get the choice again
What you had is now gone
Aimless wondering
Until
You come across
A greater choice
Needs careful deep thought

Now two have to choose the path

I dont know how you always manage to keep these briskly flowing writes as a cohesive whole, but you always do. Perhaps you have a bit of rapper enmeshed with a poet to write the way you do.

That fork in the road.....we all will come to it. And sometimes more than once in our lifetimes. It's a perilous place, especially if that inner voice is silent and unsure. I guess that is the unknown beauty of life; to take the fork left or right and see where it leads us. Each fork may lead to another fork, or it may lead to happiness and enlightenment.

Another fine piece of writing. Written with wisdom and plenty of dedication to the craft. Well done.

really like this piece and it reminds me somewhat of a theme contained in "the road not taken."
Whichever path we take, we need to make the most of that one, and not always rue the choices we didn't make...we need to sigh in a good way...our choice has made all the difference...and our existence has made a difference.
