‘Another Lost Soul’

When you said you were lost- what did it cost? You felt no good, that you could not meet the needs of others? So you had to prove that all they accused was right, yet wrong at the same time. You knew the game that you then became part of- which ripped your heart apart.

Your soul was sold, the cold took control and death was your biggest wish. A wish that felt so far from what and who you really are. You allowed all the hurt and pain to have the upper gain- you stayed below and yes you did know, one day the truth would take control. You allowed all bad to make your life intensely sad, you nearly went ‘mad’, from one place to the next , going through all these tests- but even they did not know what was best for you.

‘Another Lost Soul’, that was what it said- you put yourself in all the tests, allowing the dark side to blind you, to take your life without a fight.

Maybe it was out of control, only you will know but how can you not see that you could just look inside and see that all you really needed was the ‘me’- no matter what others see or say, they did not ever walk your way, it was not set out in their day.

I saw your pain and I saw your uneasiness. You act as if you can’t get in control, as if you are a machine, controlled by addiction of just ‘going on’, when your quoters full, then all is given over and nothing matters. You give in and again you did not win. You allow all the guilt to eat you up inside and again you cover it up with pride, and again you do the same.

Since when did you owe anyone anything? You were given a mind and soul to take control of your choices, not to listen to those lies in voices, that are actually nowhere around. They all belong underground, that’s where you went to find a sound ground. You know it was a lie- but you’de rather die? Why?

There’s no reason why.
Just try to see that there is so much more to you and me - all make mistakes and yes it is the choices we make - but you can’t knock yourself down when these lessons we must learn. Nobody wants to be hurt or to hurt others, or maybe it just seems, that all of us see this as one big dream.

I would rather like to think this is a stream, bringing us to the dream that our heart has set apart...

dear Kelly, You know English is my second language, so it's hard for me to read long pieces most of the times, so I'm sorry I didn't read or review Your short stories, though this one flows so easy, so poetically... in Your own like always lovable style.

many people can't grow with their inner and beings alone, then the confusion they have inside, to say something, and to act with something else, some learn from what they are going through even if they did mistakes, they know they must walk in that road to progress, some need more time than others, and some are just... so lost, so lost in their Souls that they can't do it alone, and I see You here a guide for him, trying Your best to open his heart and mind, as understandingly and friendly as You can be, I just hope he will understand the treasure he has right now, that he won't lose that chance which been given to him, but instead to take it wholly as it can be, some things don't happen but once in life.

I guess we all feel as if we 'exist outside' at one time or another in our lives, and for some most of the time. I've been there, feeling so trapped within my own mind. No soul is ever completely lost....

Your story-poem is so deeply moving Kelly. Beautifully written. It is an honest and emotionally gripping plea, from the heart, to give someone the strength to save their life and soul. Each paragraph-verse is poignant, eloquent, with great symmetry, flow, cadence, imagery, metaphor and intricate rhyme. You vividly describe the struggle and torment of a troubled life’s journey-“Your soul was sold, the cold took control”. Last line is so lovely and uplifting- “...the dream that our heart has set apart...”, yes.
