Tender, soft and wonderful use of words dear Kelly.
"Left upon the shores
Where love
Remains
For
Evermore.."
What we leave behind. Can we find again? Thank you dear Kelly for sharing the amazing poetry.

Even tho I really enjoy the way you wrote this, the thing that amazes me the most is how your mind works, in thinking to combine this shell and all the other ideas you pack into your message. Personifying the shells is such a creative thing to do. It makes for a thought-provoking metaphor . . . what other inanimate objects in life could be considered a friend that we tell secrets to, that holds secrets down in the deep folds of what can't be seen easily. To think of all this, while looking at a shell -- that's what amazes me! It makes me want to think of another object that could be used in a similar way -- thanks for the inspiration! Mysterious and poetically mesmerising write ... very easy to read and enjoy! I do believe that cowrie shells are used in traditional astrology in South India to predict the future. I see yours as a great WC contributor - bless :-)

There are lilting moments in this poem.. a slip-sliding of language.. perhaps the movement of waves.. intended or not. You use such short chits of language, line by line but the whole completes a wonderful Completion, Kelly..
I wonder if your courie shells are the same as cowry.. which or whatever, the fact that they hold love within, around, means so much to me. Beautifully visual.

Yes they are but this type not easy to find always but so beautiful- Thankyou for your time🌹🌹
This is such a beautiful picture you have painted in my head, but the thing I want to know most is the title and why they are called that.
We have the word courie in Scotland, only ever used by mothers putting their kids to bed. Courie in, means snuggle up. It was such a pleasant surprise to hear it used again, even if it does mean something different. It so reminded me of my mum and gran :)
Beautiful piece.
