Vanity

Fetishes

Internet addictions-

Altogether
Undone-
Trying to find
Some fun-

A loaded gun
Held to their
Heads

Addicted

To meds-

In hope that
They can cope-
Making themselves
Choke
On lies-

Fleshly ties
Where the soul
Dies-

Asking the question
‘Why’?
Well-
Pigs don’t
Fly

In the month of July-

No use asking ‘why’?

You’ll land up mentally
Disturbed-
Your mind
Will fry

Stand back
Stay in track

Take your sanity
Back -

It’s self worth
That you lack .

This sounds like the stream of whats in my head stuff that I can't help writing from time to time. It feels like my brain had been given a big shake and the rhymes spill out. Fill up the page, sage or not, I know not! Most of the time I write normal stuff, right! Enough of this verbal guff.
Seriously, your poem flow along effortlessly and the rhyming is interesting , if a bit random. I guess we all fit that spectrum of nutty normality somewhere. I f you have time you might like to read my latest story called 'The day that time stopped for me!'

Nice! It treads on surrealism with a dose of understanding the thinking in a drug-addled brain. This is clearly a poem about drug-use but there's no judgement. You're able to convey the confusion and lack of focus within someone with a drug-habit. I loved the line: "Altogether Undone- Trying to find Some fun" This is a great use of language to show how and why someone feels the need to get high. Excellent job!

Lol it is so- crazy nutters out there believing things are what they are no matter how warped- but then again we all see things differently but there is a fine line between right and wrong- some things I just don’t get and don’t even try and understand why some people do the things they do and why they are the way they are- too much confusion to try figure it out....Thankyou for chuckling🌹

We as humans often think of ourselves lower then we really are. I struggle with this and I really felt that your poem has motivated me to continue to work on that!
