Oh
Butterfly shells
You lie upon
The shores of life
So serene
Full of delight-

Watching them
On their way-
On each new
Passing day-

They kiss
But
You don’t
Tell -

As if you are
Their
Wishing well-
Where silent wishes
They have fell-
Their hearts
Longing
For their truths
To be able to tell-

Oh wishing well-

Oh kiss and tell-

Where wishes fall
Happiness calls
Lonely hearts to
Depart-
On each wish so true
Deserved by me
And you-

Oh gentle heart
Don’t tear yourself
Apart-
Be true to you
Good to you
Believe in you
Let your light shine
Through-

I wish you well-
Oh wishing well-

Butterflies sing
Carrying love
Upon their
Wings-

Carrying kisses
To tell the heart
Of deeper
Special
Parts-

Where wishes
Depart from
Wishing Wells-
To butterfly shells-
That lay upon the
Sands of time-

Where I am yours
And you are mine-
Kissing eachother
Under blessings -
Uninterrupted time

Where butterfly
Shells
Kiss and tell
The secrets
Of yours
And mine-

Until the end
Of time-

I’ll be yours and
You’ll be

This took me in a ride through time... when there is no time, where every hurt is healed, and every heart is blessed, when it's about butterflies, I will love the poem no matter what, and then it's You here, with an unexpected one... Thankyou - that is my wish for everyone to have that love true to them until the end of time that nobody can separate - that the love is made for eachothers souls- we all need to follow our hearts and find it if we never try we’ll never know otherwise how much to we loose in the end by just existing but not being true to yourself and your heart- we need to livevto the fullest and love completely in all ways- Thankyou for your kindness- 🌹

This took me right back to primary school when I was about seven or eight. Or teacher set us a project about a wish we chose. We were to write a short story about why we choose that wish. The next week she asked us to write another story about the wish coming true and who would benefit from that wish. This went on all year until we saw all the people charted on our project that the wish affected. It was meant to show selflessness and there were some who their families benefitted, some who only themselves benefitted, and one girl got an award for everyone benefitting…I think her wish was for everyone to have a wish. I still recall how embarrassed she was at being singled out. Funny how these things stick with you.
Anyway, back to the point…I think you have found your voice in this style of writing, where the words float and sway into each line, spoken with softness and warmth. I don’t know what the style is called, but you do seem to have found your rhythm in this piece. Superb.

I love the idea of wishes departing from wishing-wells, and going into the butterfly shells. In those 'sands of time' we are free to imagine all we want. And sometimes dreams come true, especially if the butterflies get their message across. Some lovely ideas in your poem and I like the way the format of the poem suggests the 'flitting' ways a butterfly goes from one place to another.
