Bird
Seeking flight
So is my
Hearts plight-

Set free
Away
From bars
And
Binds-
Released from
Twists
Within the
Mind

Forgetting
Tenses and
Defences

Gliding

Biding

Mesmerising

Shackles shaken
Masks mistaken
Proof profound

Is what we’ve found

Hovering above
The ground-

Gravity defeated

Joys unseated

Journey completed

Sets free
From caged
To
Eternity...

This sounds like a dream, a magnificent one of being unburdened and unimpaired. It's all good, but I especially like "forgetting tenses and defenses." In such a condition, I might be able to write, paint pictures, and a few other things that responsibilities often deter.

Freedom is the most fundamental thing in life which should be enjoyed by all. Those people keeping birds as pets probably dont realise the sin they're committing by imprisoning those tiny creatures.
All the joys of life lie in freedom and wise are those who make the best out of it. Wonderfully penned!

The caged bird, caged into subservience, still dreams of clear blue skies and a world without bars…. Just like we all do.
To be free of thought and released into the wind is a dream we all share, when life and all its attachments keep us grounded, but even then, we are free to imagine how good that would feel, knowing the reality would be unimaginably better.
Really like the feeling of freedom you give your words. Beautifully expressed.

Thankyou- we are only as free as we allow ourselves to be - sometimes in a place for a set amount of time but once we are free to fly we need to decide??

one of the keys is to stop feeling the time, like this we stop the feeling of "aging", then to stop explaining and justifying our selves to everyone.

if only we can set ourselves free to reach our dreams...i think often we put the shackles on ourselves.

It is a tough situation---when we feel defeated, beaten...and cannot complete the journey.
