dear Time... have you heard the old song, “Misty”? “Like a kitten up a tree I get misty just thinking of you”. Frank Sinatra and others sang it in the Fifties. Your poem is so much like those lyrics... so soft and beautiful. truly, Pat

It is interesting how the mist turns ones thoughts inward. One becomes reflective, eventually standing at a decision point regarding how to see or respond to events one encounters. Will we sulk, or utilize the ponder as a new formative realization taking shape in the midst of mist?
There is a lot going on in the poem,.plays on words and ideas that could be tighter. I think I get the style evoking an episodic recall of past event and considerations. Life does invite us to return to the present withdrawing out thoughts from troubling pasts and disturbing potential futures.

Excellent description of what we are, were and want to be. Our thoughts are a mist/fog when trying to reach for the pieces that put us together. We are simple and complex, get easy things wrong and hard things right.
We can hope for what we will be to be better, and aim for our goals, but while we are waiting for that to happen, the mists still pervade in our minds, when there are still unanswered questions.
Really liked the softness in these words, lie an almost sigh. Great piece.

Thankyou kindly such nice words..I’m glad you enjoyed it🌹
Gentle, kind and wonderful flow of thoughts and words.
"Oh misty
Morning dew-
How I’m
Reminded
Of
You."
The above lines. Small things make us wish to be with someone in a better place. Thank you dear Kelly for sharing the amazing poetry.

You are right. Make us wish for long mornings and smiling and kind faces.
Well, I haven't seen mist for a long time.....maybe i will in our coming colder seasons.
This one reads and concludes like a song; the simple words tumbling over themselves to its child like final lines. A reflection of the innocence of youth and youthful love.
Softly written and filled with a longing hope and wonder. Nice work.

Must keep hoping and wondering and believing otherwise you block your blessings- many thanks🌹
My heart flowed with the poem from line to line, from frame to misty frame...filling me with an optimism that through the fog I'll walk to a clear, sunny place. Yet, the being in the mist in itself is beautiful. My compliments on the beauty and serenity of life that is so reflected in this poem.

Thankyou I’m glad it identifies with that , I appreciate your time🌹
one foot in the door and one foot out...remember a relationship so similar...
too much fog and mist...and past tears...was hard for her to see me with any objectivity...
the past ruled and in the end, the past won.
i relate to this...again i like your rhythms...and easy rhyme.
