The saving of self🌹

‘ Sinking Sands ‘

Oh life is like
Sinking sand -
The more you
Move
It becomes
Like glue

Holding
Onto you-

The depth
It knows-
Your troubles
Glow-

The darkness
Shows no
Light-

It lies within
The fight-

The plight

The might-

Stars shining bright
They lead the way
Onto a brand
New day-

Calming silence

Removing
Violence
And
The sinking
Stops at bay -

Tomorrow
Brings a brand
New day-

Released

Decreased

Your spirit soars
Towards
The shores
Of hope-

Your hands
Groping
Upon the
Hoping -

The rope
Pulls you out
From
Sands so
Deep-

A promise you
Must keep-

To journey down

Look around
Reflect those
Sands and
Sounds-

Walls
Crumbling
Down-

What you’ve now
Found -
Is solid ground
No sinking sands
Defeat -
It’s on your
Feet you
Stand -

Whole and
Complete-

Rewards
Do reap-
Your souls
To keep-

Sanity from
Sinking
Sands-

Life’s taken
From
Your
Hands.
