‘Truth’

A transparent and conscious state of being🌹

Truth:

I heard the word
So crisp and true-
The search it started
If only I knew

Not questioning
I trusted-
Not wondering
I followed

The yearning
And burning-
Inside I just
Knew

Untraveled paths
Old and new-
Set out infront
For only a few

Being free to see
And feel the world-
And learn of stories
Yet to be told

Through days and nights
The light shone bright-
What was right
Was worth the fight

Rivers deep and mountains
High
I heard the eagles faint cry-
Looking up towards the sky
The taste of fresh waters-
Cleansing for every test
Pushed me on
Before the rest-

The rush of rapids
Cascading blues-
It lead me on
Closer to you

The truth
It tasted harsh
And cold-
But nothing compared
To a lost withered soul

The dolphins cries
Surfing the wake
Of the ship-
But yet I knew
It was all part
Of the trip-

I loved you deeply
Freely-
Not allowing anything
To steal me
Away from your
Heart-
Not knowing the
Day we would
Depart-

The churning of the
Currents deep-
The waves against
My heart
Do beat-
I long for that
Connection-
So rare and true
Only shared
By two-
If only I knew

Beneath the heavens
Where stars do shine-
And moons soft splendour
That’s all there is
To remember-

That love connection
Without direction-
As if in a trance
It’s all part of
The dance-
Floating and coating
The souls set on
Fire-
The hearts main
Desire-
But waiting
Contemplating-
The way of
The world-
Leaving much
Unrevealed and
Lost-
Oh what a cost-

Where will it
Take me-
What will it
Make me-

Why do we grieve
It’s only ourselves
We deceive-
Open your heart
Go back to the start-
It’s the truth
That you know

It brings us closer
Our love can only
Grow.
