Hunger and ThirstA Poem by Kelley QuinnWhat happens when the lights go down, And the hunger grows and grows, Until you lose complete control? What happens when a simple look Can make your body shake with want? Won’t you come here? The sound of steaming water is startling in the cool night And he’s strong and urgent, With hands that strip me down as
I want him so badly. But he’s slow to take in everything. And his eyes reflect what I feel. And his body shifts at my touch, But I can’t stop. I have to feel every part of him While I take his clothes. The water is hot and pours over me, Energizing the moment so it feels like fire And he whispers, ever so lightly, I want you I lose it. I lose every thought in my mind and Every memory of anything. There is only him and the feel of his hands Running up and down my body. But it’s the fact that he pins my arms above me, Not taking a single look away from my eyes, That makes me want him so badly. And he’s touching me lightly, but Then harder and with urgency. His hands and his lips, I lose track of Everywhere he’s been or going. All I know is he’s there and he’s here And I want him everywhere even more. His breath is hot and mixed with heavy want. I want you Then he’s there, kissing me all over My neck and my chest, leaving in their Wake a burn that grows so rapidly and deep That I can only think of him His hands on my hips, he kisses me deeper And the water pours over both of us, blending with the Scorch of our touch and craving for one another. I can’t control the noises that escape me But I know he longs for them so I no longer Try to keep them inside me. And suddenly, I can’t control anything anymore. I’m shaking uncontrollably now and the sounds Are animalistic as they reach my lips.
His hands hunger for every part of my body And I long for him to be in me and over me, As the feverish water maximizes every touch. And the pleasure is heard And here. And there. And felt everywhere. © 2014 Kelley QuinnFeatured Review
