Thank you for simply showing me how a schizophrenic feels. I don't know much about psychology, but I know my mother suffers with schizophrenia every single day and it's not something I feel I can openly discuss with her (nor would she agree to) so this poem showed me kind of what I was wondering, and brought a tear to my eye as well.
SO well done.

I'm a psych major, and I always approach poetry that mentions schizophrenia with caution, because there are a lot of misconceptions about what the disease entails, and a lot of people tend to focus on things that are myths.
That being said, you fell into none of those traps, and you did a beautiful job portraying something that I really, really hope you weren't able to use experience to describe. Well done!
I absolutely adore this piece. It struck a chord for me too. I'm not schizophrenic but yeah... some of the things that you spoke of rang very true for me. Thanks for sharing. This was very well written, it flows beautifully.
