A Blue Sky

A Blue Sky

A Poem by Kelley Quinn

Puddles splash.
Black shoes begin to damp.
Looking upon a blue sky,
I remember that she is gone.
An array of whispers:
we miss you

Clouds float aimlessly across,

and suddenly there is

Heaven.

The last time.
The last thoughts.
Looking down, I see

 Puddles,
But not from rain.
Sobs,
But not my own.
 Slipping into the darkness,

soon to be with you.

To me it is the losing of someone to death, to feel they are in heaven. The clouds, aimless sadness, when concentrated they cry. To see the tears of the lost loved in the rain. To stand in the sky's tears and feel closer.

This is what I feel. Personally I believe the loved don't live on elsewhere, but I felt this poem strong, touching, sad, feeling, hopeful and somber.

thanks, - Ben

Beautiful.
If i'm right:
Someone looses someone, yet still makes contact, hence the sobs not from that person. I think i'm making a fool of myself.
Great poem though.

Passing the dreams of our generation .
Onto the next souls of our line.
We carry with us their undying love.
For a life sweet gentle and divine !

A beautiful thought you had here .One i ponder all the time as well

This was lovely. I can feel the words pierce through me and ring in my presents. I liked this poem, it was peaceful, and lovely. ☺

A very captivating little piece despite the lonely missing feelings it expresses... love knows no bounds including death. Beautiful work.
