Mother

Mother

A Poem by kar

So many years ago you held me in your arms;

your indiscretions staring back at you.

What did you think; what did you feel?

I know what they told you -

they told you to forget,

forget i existed - forget I was born.

So you went on with life

the best you could.

wearing a mask; you hid from the truth.

I did not know who I was.

existing day by day was all I knew;

looking for me in every you.

But this game is tired;

this game is old.

I do exist!

where are you?

The word mother is earned. Some woman don't want to be a real mother. I like the story in the poem and the question at the end. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
