Wilting Flower

Wilting Flower

A Poem by Kellee

wilting flower
dying by the hour
no water will save her
no sun to help her grow
she once was strong
beautiful and alive
but now she stands alone
and its more than she can take
she used to be joined to the most
beautiful flower in the world
but he found greener grass
he lives in richer soil
he no longer longs to be with her
he is now longing for another
a more beautiful flower than she could ever be
now she weeps alone as her petals fall to the ground
no longer a strong and beautiful yellow rose
soon she will just be a memory blowing in the wind

This is so sad. If this is some thing you've really been going through, I can understand completely. I loved your use of imagery, comparing your broken heart to a wilting rose. Great write
