We said goodbye today

We said goodbye today

A Poem by Kelvin L. Wilson
"

Reflecting on the loss of a cousin

"
We said goodbye today,

To one to early gone
To mum, a much loved son,
To dad a quiet inspiring lad
Sisters distraught undone
We said goodbye today
and we can hardly pray;
Distracted thoughts, beset us,
our jumbled hearts display;
Kaleidoscopic memories,
compressed, stored away.

Goodbyes are always difficult; whether temporary or in death, it's all difficult to bear at times. This poem is an excellent expression of the difficulties of saying goodbye to a loved one. Great job! Keep up the good work-Levi Levin
