Time

Time

A Poem by Kejo

and softly we fall
though the cotton candy clouds
while time itself stands still
we listen to the sounds
children laugh and music plays
while we spin round and round
faster and faster
till we lose control
tumbling to the ground
down the hill in a dizzying mess
slowing gently to a stop
lie on our backs and watch the sky
gasping and smiling
race accross the field
and through the tree's
calling each other
never parting for long
catch snowflakes in our hands
and dance in the snow

but now the wind blows bitter cold
a howling scream haunting me
time races forward reclessly
too fast, too soon
fragile and brittle shattering
broken glass and bare feet
the pain it overwhelms me
thick choking darkness
and cold so cold
where are you?
