Silent is this room I see

Silent is this room I see

A Poem by Kejo

Silent is this room I see
In the dark recesses of time
Echoes of voices long gone
Of a time never to come again

Silent is this room I see
With the echoes of laughter gone
Screams of agony and pain reside
And dreams are long forgotten

Silent is this room I see
The dull thud of footsteps ever near
Echoes of the lectures told
The colective gasp of shock fading evermore

Silent is this room I see
Windows shuddered against the sun once free
A memory pushes through the dust of time
Brightening the dull domain

Silent is this room I see
As tears run down my face
The terror of the memories I seek
Reflected in the dark skull's empty eyes

Silent is this room I see
A grave for many I once knew
Their bones shall rest forever more
On these cold floors silently
