'Kaylie, wait up!' I turned around, and saw my best-guy friend Lucas running out the school gates. I started walking when he caught up.

'So whats new?'

'Nothing. I'm going to the park later, wanna come?' Lucas replied.

'Um sure'

'KAYLIE!' I turned around for the second time, and Rick was running up this time. I glanced at Lucas - he hated Rick, and Rick liked me.

'Hey, Rick. Whats up?' I asked, as Rick caught up.

'Well I was wondering if you wanted to come to my the movies on Saturday. Most of our class is coming,' Rick informed me

'Can I bring a guest?'

'Depends,'

'I want to bring Lucas. My best friend. You know, the guy right next to me,'

'Hello,' Lucas said.

'Hello. Erm.. I wasn't planning on guests, cause I booked most of the seats so there won't be room..'

'Then I'm not coming. Lucas has to protect me. He's my body gaurd,' I said winking at Lucas.

'Protect you from what?'

'I don't know what Kaylie's parents want me to protect her from, but they told me, that if Kaylie was going anywhere where there could be risks, I have to go,' Lucas said, smiling. My parents hadn't said that, but, we didn't care, and, Lucas did protect me. Usually.

'Oh fine!! You can both come,' Rick looked annoyed.

'Thanks,'

Instead of walking off, Rick started walking back with us.

'I thought you lived back up that way,' I said pointidly.

'Mhmm.. But what if a gang of thugs attack you? Lucas on his own wouldn't be able to protect you if a whole gang came, but the two of us could..' Rick smiled at me. I looked at Lucas who didn't look at me, or Rick, but straight ahead. When we reached Lucas's house he turned to me.

'Wanna come in, Kalie?'

'Oh so it's OK for you to go home and leave her, but shes not allowd to to the movies alone?' Rick said.

'Rick, I live, like, five houses up,'

'And I invited her in,' Lucas said glaring at Rick.

'Uh huh, well, if its okay with the 'bodygaurd' I'll walk you to your gate,' So, I had to walk to my front gate with Rick.

'Uhmm, so bye..' I said turning around to face him. He cupped my face in his hands, so I couldn't pull away.

'I really like you, Kaylie..' He murmered, coming so close to me, I could feel his breath. I struggled to get out of his grip. I did NOT want to be kissed by Rick! Rick moved his hands to my shoulders, and leaned in. I struggled harder. No luck. Suddenly, Rick was pulled off me, by Lucas. I hadn't been expecting it, so I fell backwards, but Lucas caught me.

'Are you that stupid?? She didn't WANT to be kissed by you,' he growled at Rick.

'Yes, she did. I like her, and she likes me, so, whats the big deal?'

'No. I. Don't,' I realised I was still holding Lucas's hand, and I let go.

'Look, why don't you just back off? It's none of buisness,' Rick told Lucas.

'Kaylie is my friend, so of course its my buisness, if idoits like you try to kiss her..' Lucas said angrily.

'Shut up, you freak,' Rick said, punching Lucas. So I punched Rick.

'Don't. You. EVER. Hit. Any. Of. My. Friends!' I told him. Rick and Lucas stared at me. I've never hit anyone. Rick turned around and walked away.

'Woah Kay...' Lucas was staring at me.

'Ya well, he hit you... By the way your nose is bleeding, so do you wanna come in and clean it up?' I said.

"Sure,' Me and Lucas walked into my house. Luckily my Mom and Dad were at work, so they couldn't be all "Ooh, Lucas, how lovely to see you dear, how is school? Would you like to stay for dinner?" and all that. Lucas went up to the bathroom and I went into the living room. When Lucas came back, his nose wasn't bleeding. He sat down next to me and we watched TV, like normal friends do.. But I felt a little.. diffrent..
