Cobber's TaleA Poem by KeithMy loyal mate.I have a dog named Cobber, A faithful Collie cross. There is much that he
can teach About life, love and loss. He cares not for your
status, As a have, or have not. He doesn't care to
judge you So content, with his
lot. If his water bowl is
dry Or has to wait for
food. He will never sulk or moan, Nor in a nasty mood. He will be extra happy When it finally comes. He'll appreciate it
more And lick up all the crumbs. A cancer on his tail, The vet gave it the
chop. But still he woke up
happy After his little op. So pleased to see me
afterwards To his feet with a jump I said "Mate how
ya doing?" He wagged his bandaged stump.
