Tear it off...

Tear it off...

A Poem by KeiranH
"

To me it's about balance in life. People may crave happiness but what they don't realize is that without saddness, things would become boring

"

It’s weird,

As life goes on,

There are always those ups and downs,

Those smiles and frowns,

But life goes on.

There comes a time,

Where King Midas touches your life,

And all the sorrow, stress, and strife,

Turns to gold.

Your strength seems endless,

There’s no load you can’t carry,

Dilemmas in the shadows are wary,

For your glow is vivid.

But after time,

Things around you seem wrong,

These days become long,

You want to tempt the shadows.

Happiness is strenuous,

Your Trojan Wall begins to ache,

You secretly long for it to break,

For immortality is overrated.

Initiative hits you,

You look at this blissful attire that weighs you down,

And realize that sometimes it’s good to frown,

It subconsciously balances your life.

This unshakable skin grips at your heart,

But you feel it, with every moment, become weak,

And so take hold of this armor so sleek.

Embrace the absence.

Tear it off…
