I find it hard to tell you

Something i wrote one night, about a friend, whos more then a friend to me.

I find it hard to tell you;

What you mean to me.

It’ll happen one day;

You just wait and see.

 

Our love would be like fire and ice;

It probably wouldn’t last.

But girl I have to tell you;

You make my heart beat fast.

 

You brush straight on past me;

And I admit, it’s kind of tough.

But one day I will show you;

I’m a diamond in the rough.

 

I do not mind all your friends;

But how am I to say,

What I have to get off my chest;

If you will never fray?

 

Your beauty, it bewilders me;

There’s a sparkle in your eye.

I think that all your quirks are cute;

And trust me I don’t lie.

 

I admit, I am quite ashamed,

Of the feelings I keep to myself.

I hide them, and keep them save;

Like a book, upon a shelf.

 

But one day you will check out this book,

And read the words which lay.

One day, to your face, I will admit;

These feelings I have to say
