This is whatever you want

My protective nature,

may not be fed.

For I can not protect you.

I want to be your shield,

yet, I can't deflect a bullet. 

I couldn't go to your side, 

even if I wanted. 

The bullet ricocheted, 

and hurt whom you love. 

Helpless, 

I was helpless. 

I couldn't do anything, 

even if i wanted.

For I can not feed my nature.
