Promise MeA Poem by Ren BlackTake your hand to my heart, my love, feel how it beats for you. Feel how it breaks and aches when you tell me what you want to do. Feel how it shatters into broken glass, when you tell me you want to leave, when you tell me life isn't for you, something I won't believe. I can't let you go like this I can't let you die because darling, I am yours and you're forever mine. I won't let you take our future, our house, our children, our dreams, I can't let you rip our lives by the very seams. I can't let you walk out on me by taking your very life. I can't let you steal our happiness we've shared for all this time. I won't let you do this, I'd never forgive myself; I'd never forgive you when I see your picture on my shelf. You're taking more than your life, my dear, you're taking mine too, You're stealing the future and a chance of happiness that I know we'll have soon.
