up first

A Poem by Kees Kapteyn

I dress myself

While you sleep

Careful not to let

The rustle of clothes and the rasp of zippers

Pierce your silence

Quiet intimacies reverse and rewind

And start another day

I write this poem at the foot of our bed

You move

And don't know that I'm here.

Short but incrediably sweet. For me it's one of the most awesome things to wake up and watch the guy next to me sleeping. Like an angel cuddled up beside me.

Another great write!!!

I like this piece. Reads like whispers being said to a lover. The capturing of a moment that you bared witness to that gave you such a thought that flowed with beauty and grace. I think this was perfectly flowing and painted a scene wonderfully.

Great Job!!!!!!!
