Goodbye Love

 

I've been down this road too many times

Traveled with different passengers

Driven in different vehicles

Overheard too many horror stories

And experienced too many crashes

 

I understand the journey can be exciting 

But my destination has never been paradise 

I fell asleep many times and had visions of other paths 

But as I wake to reality I must stop this trip and sit by the sidewalk

 

Not to wait for the right transport

Not to wait for the right co passengers 

Not to wait for the right time to travel 

But to spend the rest of my life away from the hustle 

Sure and simple on the sidewalk away from the journey of Love

 

Goodbye Love I've had enough of you.

great poem dear..i can totally relate because this is actually my current state of being. i have put love on hold for a while, just to be free and to get to know me without someone swooping in and taking my breath away every two minutes. i think this is a decision we all need to make every now and again, just to give ourselves some me time. i read a novel titled "i kissed dating goodbye" once and currently i can also say i kissed sating goodbye and it has been the best decision all year, life is so peaceful and stress free. its like you wrote this one just for me..with my situation in mind. i truly loved it. beautiful work hun.xx
