Regret

Regret

A Poem by Keeley

Does it matter that without you I can't breathe?
Do you care about me crying every night?
The fact my heart has stopped, broken with time
And in my mind you still shine so bright

Moving on is harder when you've fallen in so deep
Thinking all that was on my mind was us taking that leap
I guess I was dreaming, hoping on a prayer
Because now when I wake up, you are never there

So, the words I wasted, the "I love you's" we said
Just like my soul, all of them are dead
And in the tears I've cried, the nights run red
I could have loved another girl instead
But I chose you- the worst mistake of my life

The sadness and hurt you convey here are so raw and real. Very powerful write.
