[Untitled #1]

[Untitled #1]

A Poem by Keeley

There is a bit of hedonist in you,

and if I am reflected at the right angle,

I can see a little in me too.

It is best exemplified at moments like this, when we

revert back to our primal nature and twist and sully

of limbs, the reckoning of mass and gravity.

reconfiguration of genes

until we shed our own light,

independent of solidarity.

Illumination is easy in darkness,

or at least I am pretending.

I’m not so sure about you.

There are times when aurora borealis

takes your place,

and leaves even me shining.
