I Want to be in a Breeze So Strong You Can Hold It.A Poem by K. MascisPoem I wrote a while back.I Want to Be in a
Breeze So Strong You Can Hold It. K Mascis I want to stand on the edge of the world Held up by a breeze so strong you can hold it. I want to push back against the winds To be encompassed by the whirling thrashing tearing To see the trees bow down. I want to see the grass ripple like water. I want to see the water glimmer like faith. I want to fall asleep in the field Caressed by sheets of grass. I want the air to scratch a lullaby The ground damp and alive My dreams to be empty and my thoughts to be used. I want to burn my eyelids and forget tomorrow. I want to drown in the sun. I want to wake up under the stars Glimpse the eyes of unfathomable distance. I want to feel the chill of autumn sung through the trees To shiver and huddle into my own arms To meet the moon. I want to wonder home through dead inviting leaves. I want to sleep. © 2010 K. MascisReviews
