A monsoon gone too soon

A monsoon gone too soon

A Poem by KeeD

The music played
to the beat of falling rain
And the evening shadow
danced under a halcyon moon

the thunder whispered
calling out lovers to the storm
and like melted chocolate
the smell of wet mud filled the air

A few blankets that night
made the chill disappear
and the warmth of her voice
made me always remember

a monsoon gone too soon
