Another state of Garcia

Another state of Garcia

A Poem by KeeD

Another state of Garcia

It feels like I’m stranded

Under suffocating waves

Breathing incessantly

In a halcyon haze

We started at the roots

and we visited moons

I looked at myself in the mirror

Trying to figure out the truth

A kiss so dry

I lost my mind

to waltz with the macabre

have my thoughts redefined

the dawn was yours

in immoral shades of azure

Yet you chose to break a heart

and unlock a darker door

A noose has a comforting coil

underneath the transcendental eminence

Now to share a relationship with the soil

For its loyalty in permanence

Hello Kee, it is lovely to see a post from you and this poem looks at the hurt that can be inflicted as a result of adultery. A little bit of bliss but a heavy price can be paid. Your fourth stanza speaks of a broken heart and unlocking a door to darkness. Your final stanza touches on the guilt with the comfort of a noose. Hope all is good with you.

A suicide not from a suprned lover in verse as they relive the trauma of a breakup and being cheated on. The only way out left, to die for love. Nicely penned Sir.

making love with darkness...in darkness...having we can't have...is that what makes adultery so exciting to some?
perhaps....this one looks into that abyss...with penetrating imagery.
