Elise got on board a one-way ferry

The sight she saw was indeed scary

There were young boys and girls with no expression

Sitting by the banks experiencing regression

She looked away as tears rolled down her face

Screaming, "What is this cursed place!"

The water appeared dark and petrifying

The trees hollow; the atmosphere terrifying

Her destination halted when she reached the lair,

Terrified she whispered, "Is there anybody there?"

A creature appeared out of the night

Its appearance didn't seem quite right

It had a face of a ghoul with human hair

Eyes like amber and a stench few could bear

Mimicking her fear it mocked her disposition

Till today such a creature only exist in superstition

It gestured her to follow into a dark sickening cave

Halted and began to point at an empty grave

The tombstone said Elise 1997-2012

That's when it struck her, she was trapped in Hell

This is the stuff nightmares are made of, and also material for horror movies. Your posted image scary indeed, something my gothic grandson would love. Sort of poster he'd put on his bedroom wall. I think when children are the victims, it makes everything more terrifying. Your narrative dark, very dark. If there is a hell, you've found it.

Thank you Chris, when I was younger I loved horror movies, so these series of poems that I imagined .. read more
she was much too young to be trapped in hell....very sad and terrifying...
too young to be there, too young to understand why.
