Written in Veins

Written in Veins

A Poem by KeeD

I found fossils in my blood

Of paper boats we used to set a free in the floods

Those promised monsoon Junes

Now just memories written in veins

So what if the bottles rim bruises my lip

And the needles pinch excavates my skin

I want to basterdized my conscious state

So I can dream about everything I hate

Cheers for the feast of spiritual guidance

And that tempting platter full of solutions

Drown me out of my seclusion

A pretty way of dealing with her not coming back

I read the passage written in veins

About how the past is nothing but pain

I'd bleed a boat and escape to sea

To spend a future where you're with me

Absolute hope lying found here...no matter if she's there in the future with you or not...you may proceed over there bleeding a boat escape the sea....if couldn't find her...may face the demise...cause no return to past is possible!!

Your writing is amazing. This is some of the most original writing I’ve seen. Your metaphors are vivid & plentiful. I love the way you make utter hopelessness sound intriguing & even tempting. I can feel that urge to seek mindlessness, to fester in hateful feelings, etc. You craft those lines so well, it doesn’t even sound as desperate as it really can be. I like to honor all feelings, good & bad . . . you’ve done that here in great measure . . . it’s all part of being a damn fallible human (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

You are a talented writer. Your words vivid and alive.
"I read the passage written in veins
About how the past is nothing but pain
I'd bleed a boat and escape to sea
To spend a future where you're with me"
The above lines. Deep and true. Thank you Keegan for sharing the excellent poetry.
