We lost the Fire

The great fire died out
scorching words in burnt sand
invisible to the eye that cannot look passed
the waves washing away yesterday

Love came and you were away
It poured and left me to sulk in my own dismay
the friction that caused a spark blazed out
do you understand that our flame will never burn again

Sit, I insist
Breathe love to keep the flame alive
Arsonist
You light up hearts and see the flame deprived

I'll rise higher setting the sky in a scarlet hue
It's what my hearts built to do
You can hinder a match of my confidence
but the friction doesn't quite go, the fire lives on

We'll never be the same again...
This heated heart has no place for you my cold friend
