Behind the lens

Behind the lens

A Chapter by KeeD

Some days, I am the flower laying on the bed besides the graveyard.
So next time you stop by your grandmothers grave and admire the flowers she loved, know that you've captured her heart.

Sometimes, I am the crow sitting on the willow tree seeking refuge from the sun.
Next time you visit the willow tree where you played in the southern heat as a little girl, you'll know that the tree will always be waiting for you to come back home so it can shelter you from the scorching sun.

Maybe, I am that smile you capture on the bumper cars at the carnival
When you see a boy smile at the carnival know that he may be your one true love but you'll find that out only years later.

Waking up, To my early rising from your veranda in Italy
Know that watching the sun rise through your Italian villa is one of the many luxuries you'll experience in this amazing life.

Gazing, At the black skies and twinkling stars
Remembering the stars waiting on top of your roof for you to come look at them after dinner every night.

Capturing, The moments we shared together across the globe
I might not exist but I see the beauty in you as you've captured the beauty in so many things that you believed to be beautiful.

Remembering, The eye behind that lens that sees me for my beauty no matter who or what I may be
