Acquire selfish composure

Too awkward in my own skin

Breaking through my shell

Trying to best the ugly within

I see you flutter and fly

Typical overachiever

Reflection of your beauty in my eyes

Fly butterfly Fly

Seeking the truth of existence

I acquire a pair of temporary wings

Momentary satisfaction

No more an unwanted attraction

Created to be perfect

Always the prettiest flowers

In a garden filled with thorns

Pseudo alluring impressions

Metamorphosis beckons me

Promise to put my insecurities to rest

Awaken changed completely

This is beautiful, I could say I love butterflies but what girl doesn't?
Love the metamorphosis that has taken place here from someone not comfortable in their skin to having the confidence to reach their potential. Lovely poem Keegan. :)

Butterflies are so important to me. We can learn so much from them. If the garden is filled with thorns, the butterfly can make it more palpable. What a lovely write this is. Lydi**
