Halley

Halley

A Poem by KeeD

I see it in your eyes the lies of a thousand moons

Orbiting this disguise that you resorted to

The wind it blew tonight whispers of sighting you

Reach out for my hand I am the satellite that watches over you

Halley understand I know your plans, I see the truth

This comet of a life takes you by the knife and cuts your fortitude

Like a stellar collision of constellations in your head

Giving rise to dead horizons, fallen stars they bled

Beams of light bursting inside, you've lost control

You scream there's not enough time in space to save your soul

So I gather your pics, lay it down with sticks and rocket fuel

Blaze it all up I've had enough of you just shooting through

I see it in your smile the wicked child of the universe

Watching us pass by generation at a time, immortal curse

Living in the sky just waiting to die, when will you burst

The intentions in your eyes harboring secrets of the universe

Author's Note

KeeD
I wrote this poem with the concept of a girl collapsing, giving up on life and watching as society rotates by ignoring her pleas for help, till she falls deeper into her hell. The entire piece has a double meaning where the author expresses that Halley's comet abandons him only to show itself again after he dies.

'Wicked child of the universe'....just woah!

Beams of light bursting inside, you've lost control
You scream there's not enough time in space to save your soul
So I gather your pics, lay it down with sticks and rocket fuel
Blaze it all up I've had enough of you just shooting through

You've created a whole new universe here Kee, your pen paints brilliance my friend. x

"Halley"
KeeD,
Brokeness, What and how? Life is tenuous and I think so people that are blessed with basic needs met are free to live and feel in safety.
when people do not have a safe environment they are truly in danger of becoming confused within their very beings. War, tumult and starvation, lack water and shelter. We live in a world which is in need of those that will help. Your poem is speaking of one person I think but it reminded me of a person on a larger scale. Beautiful poem!
Blessings,
Kathy

I must admit, I read them in the wrong order these two Halley poems, but nevertheless, they are so great both. You really try to understand her, and the universe of her complicated but beautiful mind. You try to feel her, and be with her, even if it's in afterlife. I'm really in awe of these two. Thank you my friend, touching poetry.
