Merchants of happiness

You came into my life like an element of surprise

an unpredictable delight you opened up my eyes

we started of as friends but you showed me how to love again

now we're something different, we're two souls connected by the internet

I don't expect a perfect end to a story that might never truly begin

So there will be no I promise you's or I do's

I just want to wake up thinking about the girl I might never meet

But on this face I won't wear a smile of defeat because i'm glad we get to speak

Everyday conversations about random situations 

Means the world to me as everyone around me can tell 

the presence of happiness is multiplied by your involvement in my life

and I, like every other human enjoy being this happy

So yes I know i'm not your boyfriend and we're nothing more than friends

Our situations differ, we have family, relationships, problems on either end

but when we log into this virtual world, i'm pretty sure i'm your guy and you're my girl

the internet doesn't have seasons so there won't be any reason for us to drift apart

I know you were going to be amazing from the very start

I'm not right very often but this time I hit the mark 

Your hearts caliber shoots across the universe and accumulates all the stars

each star being a quality you possess as they twinkle for me and i'm impressed

I do dream of meeting you someday, no routers involved

but i'll sit here patiently my keyboard my lips whispering sweet nothings 

as you fall deeper in love with me closing the gap between dream and reality

That is awesome!! Way to put it out there and see things for what they are. This is a very realistic and heartfelt view of a friendship you certainly cherish. The last stanza is great! I love that you just say what's on your mind and its always in some kick a*s, artsy, poetic way.
