Fly Butterfly Fly

Fly Butterfly Fly

A Poem by KeeD
"

Just a feel good poem

"

Acquire selfish composure

Too awkward in my own skin

Breaking through this enclosure

Trying to best the ugly within

I see you flutter and fly

Typical overachiever

Reflective beauty to the eye

Making me a believer

Seeking the truth of existence

I acquire a pair of temporary wings

My conscience begs resistance

What does beauty truly bring

Created to be perfect

Always the prettiest sight

My mind filled with conflict

to vanities plight

Metamorphosis beckons me

Promise to wave my insecurities goodbye

Awaken changed completely

I am absolutely obsessed with butterflies mostly because they are beautiful and has positive symbolism~ This is a great poem and the creative words art at the end made me smle~

"Metamorphosis is the key element of butterfly symbolism. Butterfly as a symbol can also represent transition, celebration, and lightness. It can also symbolizes significant change in the course of one’s life, personality or way of thinking."

Butterflies are such inspirational creatures. Their time is so brief yet they go through a complicated difficult metamorphosis to don a pair of colorful, patterned wings to spread beauty for a little while. Could we learn from them? Perhaps we could try.
My favorite is the concluding verse here. You dazzle with your words Keegan!

This is simply amazing, Sweetness & Light...it reminds me of someone, though...in fact, I can't see a butterfly now without it reminding me of a certain someone. Beautiful write.
